Summer 2014 Internship Opportunities:

Interise stimulates economic revitalization in lower income urban communities.

We provide a diverse group of small business owners with entrepreneurial education, new networks, and access to markets. Our community creates jobs, grows businesses, and develops community leaders.

We are a national economic development non-profit organization based in Boston, MA focused on helping established urban small business owners create new jobs and generate wealth in historically underserved communities. Founded in 2004, Interise operates its signature nine-month "StreetWise MBA"TM program in greater Boston, greater Worcester, and the Merrimack Valley, providing needed training and support for motivated small business owners with aspirations for growth. In 2008, Interise won a competitive bidding process to become the national training provider for the Small Business Administration's Emerging 200 Initiative (e200).

Since 2008 we have grown from serving 10 to 27 e200 cities, ranging from Honolulu to Boston and Helena, MT to New Orleans. In ten of these cities our specific target is Native American-owned small businesses. Since 2010 we have licensed the curriculum we teach, the "StreetWise MBA,"TM to partners across the country. We currently have six licenses, with the target of 18 licensees by the end of 2014.
